Aani Chhoyeng Drolma Top 10 Songs Lyrics And Chords

Ani Choying Drolma was born in Kathmandu, Nepal in 1971 to Tibetan refugee parents. Growing up, she faced many challenges, witnessing suffering and pain in her family due to her father's actions. At the age of 13, determined to escape the tragic fate of women in a male-dominated society, she decided to join a Tibetan Buddhist nunnery named Nagi Gompa on Shivapuri Mountain. Under the guidance of her teacher, Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche, Ani Choying Drolma received education and spiritual training, excelling in Buddhist meditation, chants, rituals, and ceremonies.

Ani Choying Drolma's life took a transformative turn, and she became a chanting master in the nunnery. Inspired by her teacher's altruistic lifestyle and dedication to others, she developed a sincere desire to contribute to the well-being of sentient beings and advance the cause of nuns. Ani Choying Drolma believes in creating opportunities for nuns to study and develop their skills and compassionate actions.

Despite having no formal musical training, Ani Choying Drolma's singing talent was discovered by the American guitarist Steve Tibbetts. Her first album, "Cho," was launched in 1997, marking the beginning of her musical journey. Ani Choying Drolma's voice, often described as "the heavenly voice" with healing power, has resonated worldwide. Beyond her musical achievements, she is a UNICEF National Goodwill Ambassador for Nepal and a dedicated humanitarian.

Ani Choying Drolma has founded initiatives like Arya Tara School, providing education for young girls, and Aarogya Foundation & Kidney Hospital, offering low-cost dialysis services. Her efforts extend to supporting single mothers through Arya Tara Pre-school and aiding earthquake-affected areas by rebuilding schools and implementing the Stars of Hope Schooling Program.

All of Ani Choying Drolma's projects are funded by proceeds from her concerts, CD sales, and donations from supporters. Her autobiography, "Singing for Freedom," has been translated into multiple languages, with copyright earnings contributing to ongoing projects.

1, Ani Choying Drolma's Remarkable Journey to Nunhood

In 1971, in Kathmandu, Nepal, a girl named Ani Choying Drolma was born to Tibetan exiles who fled the Cultural Revolution. At age 13, Anila entered Nagi Gompa, a Buddhist nunnery. The abbot, Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche, guided her development and taught her traditional Tibetan Cho chant, setting the stage for her unique musical journey.

2, Ani Choying's Quest for Equality and Education

Ani Choying questioned societal norms from a young age, wondering why girls couldn't do what boys could. This attitude persisted in the nunnery, where she noticed only male teachers. Frustrated by the lack of opportunities for Tibetan nuns, she founded the Nun's Welfare Foundation in 1998 and opened the Arya Tara School in 2000. The school provides free education, empowering nuns to become teachers, healthcare workers, and community leaders.

3, Musical Philanthropy: Ani Choying's Harmony for Change

To support her school, Anila turned to musical endeavors. Since 1997, she has performed and recorded Cho, connecting global audiences to Tibetan culture. The dharma songs she performs, passed down for centuries, not only showcase the richness of Tibetan music but also serve as a means of educating people about the challenges faced by Tibetan nuns.

4, Cho: An Insight into Ani Choying's Contemplative Practice

Cho, meaning "cutting," is the contemplative system practiced by Ani Choying and her colleagues in Tibetan Buddhism. It involves mental offerings to sever attachment and cut through ego-clinging. The accompanying religious songs, not regarded as folk music, carry deep meanings capable of enhancing understanding and transforming ordinary experiences. This practice serves as a profound part of Ani Choying's spiritual journey.

5, Ani Choying Drolma's Inspirational Journey to Nunhood: A Tale of Resilience

Ani Choying's story begins in Kathmandu, Nepal, where she encountered challenges. Instead of succumbing to them, she chose a path of strength by becoming a nun. The monastery provided her with peace and discipline, shaping her future.

6, Harmony and Hope: Ani Choying's Melodic Message Across Borders

Ani Choying's enchanting voice transcends boundaries, reaching people worldwide. Her renowned song, "Phoolko Aankhama," resonates as a universal anthem of hope. Through a blend of ancient Buddhist tunes and modern melodies, her music creates a serene and joyful atmosphere.

7, Ani Choying Drolma: A Philanthropic Songstress Making a Difference

Beyond being a singer, Ani Choying is a philanthropist. She founded the Ani Choying Drolma Foundation, focusing on education and healthcare support. Her commitment to making the world better reflects in her efforts to uplift the underprivileged.

8, Digital Harmony: Ani Choying's Connectivity Through Technology

Embracing the digital era, Ani Choying uses technology to connect with people. Her website and social media platforms serve as bridges, fostering a global community united by compassion. In this digital age, she shares thoughts, engages in dialogue, and spreads positivity.
